Exactly what i was thinking. Those bones are in great condition for being 6000 years old, with only the earth to preserve them… and still placed almost perfectly, after all the flesh and whatnot that was there to hold them in place rotted away…

hey Dale Carven, you are right Iran is crul place and we do stuff like that. so just to clarift the situation me (as a n iranian) talk about some facts that we have done to help you to remember the history ! Dale , The picture is about love not Iran situation.. and when you don’t know about something it is better to be quiet. You can not judge Iran specially ancient Iran with its huge history. Read some histories about America 600 years ago and then compare it with 6000 years ago to Iran.

Actually, the city was sacked by the Urartians in 800 B.C. Victims were left rotting where they were cut down – it is likely these two were fatally wounded and literally died in each other’s arms. A love story & a history lesson, but not what you’re thinking of.

These skeletons are much too old for the Urartrian scenario. These skeletons are 6000+ years old.

They were probably buried alive and held each other till they died. Iran is a cruel place and yes they do stuff like that.
